The challenges are pretty mind blowing, they range from being born with detached and elongated muscles in his eyes, to learning how to live with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and then being able turn that into a very special ability, to surviving multiple life threatening accidents that resulted in him breaking his back 3 times and all of theses things happened before the age of 18! What makes this part of the story even more inspirational is that these challenges occurred over the same time period as his parents and him were discovering how to deal with his special mental gifts.
